Accounting Administrator
Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for compiling, processing, and maintaining the accounts payable and customer billing records and supports the Controller.
General Responsibilities
- Inputs invoices into accounts payable system and processes for payment.
- Processes customer billings.
- Reconciles statements when necessary.
- Audits and verifies expense reports, inputs into system for payment.
- Reconciles bank accounts and general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Reconciles balance sheet and prepares financial statements.
- Maintains shareholder accounting records.
- Performs various data analysis and account research when requested.
- Acts as back-up for other general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Performs other tasks as requested by supervisors.
Experience and/or Education Requirements
- A high school diploma and a minimum of two years of accounting and/or related equivalent experience is required.
- Three or more years’ accounting experience in community banking is preferred.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, as well as good analytical, verbal mathematical and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented, have good time management skills, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
